1. CALL TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the San Luis Obispo City Council was called to order on
March 13, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 990 Palm
Street, Council Chambers, San Luis Obispo, by Mayor Stewart.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Vice Mayor Jan Marx led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ONLY

4. BUSINESS ITEM
4.a APPROVAL OF EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTOR PROCLAMATION
NO. 2 (2023 SERIES)
Emergency Services Director Derek Johnson provided a brief staff report
and responded to Council inquiries.

Motion By Council Member Francis
Second By Vice Mayor Marx
Adopt Resolution No. 11400 (2023 Series) entitled, “A Resolution of the
City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, California confirming the
Emergency Services Director’s Proclamation of the Existence of a Local
Emergency on March 9, 2023”
Ayes (5): Council Member Francis, Council Member Pease, Council
Member Shoresman, Vice Mayor Marx, and Mayor Stewart
CARRIED (5 to 0)
5. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 5:54 p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the City
Council will be held on March 21, 2023 with Closed Session at 4:30 p.m. in the
Council Hearing Room and the Regular Meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambers at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
