City Hall, Friday, January 30th 1920 j o'clock P.M.
City Council met in special session for the purpose of transacting any
business that came before it,.
Present : H.B. Kirtland, H.A. Gowman, James Piper, John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
It was moved by H.A. Gorman and seconded by John Chapek that Dr. W.M. Stovep, ,YJ.
Dr. P.K. Jackson and Mrs. Belle Mahoney be appointed members of the Board of Health.u,
The motion was carried and it was --.so.ordered by_the : :.following vote:
Ayes : H.B. Kirtland , H.A. Gorman , James Piper , John Chapek, L.F. Sindheimer.
Noes : None. Absent : None.
The application of the Brown Amusement Co. for license was laid over to
Monday night for report by Commissioner of Public Health and Safety.
On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned.

Absent :Tone.
The minutes of Jan. 19th,22d,26th.,28th,29th.and 30th were read Bind
approved as read on motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek.
The resignation of W.C. Long as attendant at the City Farm and Server Farm
was received , the same to take effect April 1st. Communication was ordered filed
and matter referred to the Commissioner of Public Forks for report to Council.
The follv,ving applications for permit to build were received and ordered
granted on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper:

permitted to connect with the City Seiver on Peach Street between Osos and
Santa Rosa Street,
Pedro Quintana was granted permit to place 140 ft. retaining -mall on the
north side of Palm St.between Santa Roas and Toro Street, Lot 5 Block 32., on motion
of James Piper seconded by John Chapek.
The application of H.N. Hansen for permit to conduct a Restaurant at 589
Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on
motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper.
