HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/05/1920498 The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of January were received and ordered filed on motion_ of H.A. Go'rrman seconded by John Chapek. It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the salary of the regularly employed teamsters be raised from $ 90.00 to $ 100.00 per month, the same to become effective February 1st. The motion carried and it was so ordered. It was moved by James Piper that the application of the Brown Amusement Co. for license be rejected. For the lack of a second the motion was declared lost.and It was moved by H.A. Ga.7man that the application of the Brown the matter laid over. Amusement Co. for license bie rejected. motion lost for lack of a second. Claims against the City for the month of January were ordered paid on motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek. License Ordinance matter liras laid over to the next meeting. On motion of James Piper seconded by H.B. Kirtland the meeting adjourned to Thursday, February 5th at 7:30 P.rll. Ayes : H.B. City Council met in adjourned session, Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding. Present H.B. Kirtland , H.A. Gowman , James Piper , John Chapek , L.F. Sinsheimer. Absent : None. Communication read from E.T. Clark in which it was stated that it was agreeable to the Union Oil Company that their check in the amount of $ ?21.78 be deposited on ` accOunt , as only a partial payment due the City of San Luis Obispo under Franchise ( Ordinance No. 158 ). On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper, Peter�Schwafel was granted permit to repair residence in lot 3 Block 109 at a cost of 175.CO On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek , E.W. Soper was granted permit for Filling Station at junction of Broad and Chorro Streets- Lot 6 Block 2 Mc Brides Tract. The Santa Maria Gas & Puser Company applied for permit to open trench on Osos Street between ?Monterey and Higuera Street for the purpose of extending gas main and running service to the San Luis Garage. It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the permit be granted with the understanding.,-that , that portion of the street where excavations were made, be repaved within nine months, to the 'satisfaction of the Street Superin- tendent.
