It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by James Piper that the a::plic.ation of
C. J. Weir for permit to remodel building in Elock 56 be referred to the Commissioner of
Public Pealth and Safety for investigation and report.
The application of the Mid. Co. Pub. Serv. Cerp'n for permit to replace roles
on Osos Street. between Pacific and Pismo Streets and on Osos Street between Pismo and
Euchon Streets ,,has granted on motion of E.E. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Cowman with the
understanding that the Bork be :cone to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Public Works.
On motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek the following applications for

The application of the California Exposition Shows for license for Carnival has
rejected on motion of H.A. Go,a:ran seconded by John Chapek,
On wotion cf F..A. Goxman seconded by N.E. Kirtland th- al.;plications for the
regul r quarterly licenses were g•ranted.
Dr. Gavin J.Telfer of the State -Board of ealth addressed the Council relative
to the smallpox situation in t_e City and that steps be taken to prevent its spread.
It was moved by F.E. 'Kirtland and seconded by John Charek that the Department of
ez,,,,":._ Public Health and Safety be empowered to establish a Vaccination Clinic -and that the Council
furnish the necessary funds therefor. The motion carried and it was so ordered.
On motion of James Piper seconded by N.E. Kirtland the Yrseting adjourned.
