It was moved by James Piper and seconded by H.A. Gowman that the Old Fire Engine
�owowned by the City be loaned to the California Polytechnic School. The motion carried and
it was so ordered.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned to Monday,
February 14th. at 7:30 P -M-

On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.Z Kirtland the following applications for
permit to lay sidewalk were granted :
Mrs- Almira Fiedler - 50::feet full width sidewalk on the East side of Toro Street
between Monterey and Palm Streets,
Lewis Stover -- 50 feet full width sidewalk on the South side of Palm Street between
Coos and Santa Rosa Street-
The application of Steve Zegar for license for Taxicab was referred to the Commissioner
of Public Health and Safety on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek-
The report of the City Clerk for the month of January was received and ordered filed
on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek.
Upon favorable report by the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety , on *motion
of James Piper seconded by H.B. Kirtland the applications.-.-.of H.N. Hansen for license for
Soft Drinks and those of John S. Plessas for license for Soft Drinks and Restaurant were
ordered granted.
The following applications for Sewer connections were ordered granted: on motion of
