John,"having received a majority of all vates cast for City Clerk , was declared elected
City Clerk of the City of San LuisObispo, and Ruth Merritt and Nellie Cherrie, ..being
the persons receiving the highest number of votes east for school director, were and
each of them was declared elected school director of said City of San Luis Obispo.
On motion of Johh.Chapek , seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned
to Monday April 110 1921- at 7:30 P.M.

C% The petition of the California Highway Commission for cancellation of Tax
-� Sale on lot 1 Block B Maymont Addition , erroneously assessed to A.B. St. Clair, was
a ordered cancelled on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper.--
Petition received from E.P. Rogers for cancellation of Tax Sale on Lot 5
Block 75 for the year 1666.Said sale being void by reason of the fact that the said

On motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek the Santa Maria Gas Company
was granted permit to open trench on Pismo Street between balker and Nipomo Street and on
Nipomo Street between Pismo and Pacific Street for the purpose of reconstruction gas lines.

The merchandising Bond of M. Sterkin in the amount of $ 200.00 was received
and accepted on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper.
The applications of J. Jaqua for licemse> for Soft Drinks and Lunch Counter ,
also for license for Taxicab were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety

On motion'of Ja;yes Piper seconded by John Chapek claims against the City were
^ordered raid , including those for the Election Officers salaries, fixing said com-
pensation at $ 7.50 each.
On motion duly seconded the City Clerk was authorized to purchase from
Geo. L. Howard for the sum of Ten ( $10.00 ) Dollars, a Chart from which ,:Street numbers,
may be ascertained. The motion carried,
