The matter of the opening and extension of Monoz Street was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Works who was instructed to interview prope -rty owners and report
result of said interview to the Council.
The petition of Property owners for permit to pave sides of street from
Highway paving to curb line on Broad Street from Higuera Street to Islay Street was granted
on motion of Geo.
19. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. iyartin the matter of appointment
of City..Officers was laid over to the next meeting.
After discussion relative to the deepening of "City Well "at Garden and Pismo
Streets the matter was left over to the next meeting.
On motion of Ja Piper seconded by Geo. 17. Kilbern the meeting adjourned.

City Council met in regular session -- Commissioner H.A. Gowman presiding.
Present : W.B. martin , H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper.
Abeent : L.F. Sinsheimer.
The minutes of May 9th. 16th. 23dy and 31st. were read and approved as read.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper the request of the entertain-
ment Committeefor the Convention of Grand Grove and Grand Circle of Druids,.June 19th. 1921
for permission to use streets for parade purposes and Confetti Dance was granted, with the
understanding that same be under the supervision of the Police Department.
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the invitation of the local
Grove of Druids to the Council, to participate in parade was accepted.
The matter relative to-the balance of $ 14.92 in Gas Refund Account of City
Collector was referred to the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue, on motion of
James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The request of the City Board of Education for a transfer of $ 9,000.00 and
$ 1,000.00 from the High School Fund to the Common School Fund and Kindergarten School
Fund respectively was granted on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
A petition was read from the City Board of Education requesting the Council to
call a public hearing upon the question of olising that section of Pacific.Street now k

lying within the High School grounds and that section of Toro Street.adjacent to said.
grounds. On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the matter was referred to
the City Attorney and the Mayor with. power to act.
On motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin the petition for the improvement
of Toro-,Street between Pismo and Islay Street was referred to the Commissioner of
Public Works.

poles on Pismo Street between Johnson Avenue and Essex Street was granted on motion of
Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin.
The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of May were
received and ordered filed on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper the application of Mary C. Egan
for appointment as City Collector was ordered placed on file.
The application of P.W. Stearns for license for Lunch Counter was granted on
motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.

The matter of opening and extending Munoz Street was left over for investigation
by the City Attorney and the Commissioner of Public Works.
Claims against the City for the month of May were ordered paid on motion of
James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
The matter of providing Gas accommodations for campers at the City Camp Grounds
was discussed. The Commissioner of Public Works to interwiew Gas Company relative to
the same.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned to
Monday June 13th. at 7:30 P.M.
