City Hall, Monday , September 19th. 1921- 7:30 P.M.
City.Council met in regular session, Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present W.B. Martin, H.A. Gowman , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent Geo. W. Kilbern.
The minutes of September 6th.and 12th. were read and approved as read on motion of
James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
A communication from the Board of Trustees of the Public Library , .expressing
appreciation for the increased Tax Rate for Library Purposes , was received and ordered
on file on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martiik.
The reports of the City Treasurer and City Clerk for the month of August were
received and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H.A. Gowman

Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of James Piper seconded by
VI.B. Martin.
The petition of Skiles and Mathews for permit to remove a building from Block 61
to Lot 3 Block 118-.Reeds Addition, granted on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper.
The following applications for permit to lay sidewalk were granted on motion of

The application of Frank Covell,and C.E. Wilmot and Emmet Naylor for license for
Taxicab were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of James Piper
seconded by W.B. Martin.
The following applications ofq�ie Santa Maria Gas Company for permit to open trenches
at the following named locations for the purpose of running gas services were granted on
motion of W.B. Martin seconded by H.A. Gasman;
On Beach Street between Pacific and Pismo Street.
" First Street between Essex and Johnson Street.
" Islay Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street.
" Higuera Street between Nipomo and Beach Street.
The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were received and referred
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by
W,B, Martin.
