City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : W.B. gartin, H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern, JamesPiper , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of October 17th.j4th. and 31st. were read and approved as. 'read
On motion of James Piper seconded by A.B. Martin.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of

The following permitd were granted on motion of H.A. Gagman seconded by
James Piper
J-.W. Fisher - Widen sidewalk for distance of 30 ft. on south side of npomo Street
- between Higuera Street and Marsh Street.
H.J. Dubin - 50 ft. 5 foot park sidewalk on the •+nest side of Toro Street between
Buchon and Islay Street.
Mrs. Eliza-Shipman - Recess curbfor l8ft.on south Bide Mill Street between Santa
Rosa Street and Toro Street.

The application of Henry Van Mater for license for lodging house at 1128
Moro Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation
and report on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper.
The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of October
were received and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gorman seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The following applications for permit to connect with the City Sewer were
granted on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin:
Ed Martin -- Mill Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street.
Stanley Mo Cutcheon -- Cypress Street between Sandercock and High Street.
Violet J. Naylor -- Chorro Street between High Street and Broad Street.
W.J. Smith -- Santa Rosa Street between Marsh and Higuera St.
Stephen Zegar -- Monterey Street between Santa Rosa and Toro St.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the Santa Maria Gas Co
was granted permit to open trenches at the following named locations
Marsh Street between Johnson and Essex Street.
Islay Street between Broad and Nipomo Street.
Buchon Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street.
Uarden Street between Marsh and Pacific Street.
Santa Rosa Street between Pacific and Pismo Street.
Garden Street between Higuera and Marsh Street.
Applications of the Mid. Co. Pub. Serv. Corp'n # 24- 25 -26 -27 for permit to
set and remove poles, install anchors,ete., were referred to the Commissioner of
Public Works on motion of.H.A. Gagman seconded by James Piper.
Communication from City Board of Education regarding Sewer Connections on
Osos Street , ordered filed on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper.
A communication from the Home Buildeve Association of the City of
San Luis Obispo was received in which it was requested that the Council appoint a Build-
ing Enspector. The communication was ordered filed and the City Attorney directed
to secure copies of, Ordinances from other Cities covering the matter.
It was moved by James Piper and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern and carried
that Dr. R.M. Bradbury be permitted to continue with the construction of a building.
in Moro Street.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper, C.J. Weir was permitted to
proceed with repairs to a building 6n Marsh Street.
