City Council met in regular session -.Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : ',jI.B. Martin , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : H.A. Gowman. .
The minutes of March 5th. 7th. 9th. and 12th. were read and approved as
read on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin,

The application of J.H. Logan for permit to lay 200 ft. of curbing on Archez
Street and 150 ft on Pismo Street was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W.
Kilbern.
The application of Mrs. Mary Hansen for Sewer connection on Carmel Street
between Islay and Buchon Street was granted on motion of James.Piper seconded by
Geo. W. Kilbern.
The Merchandising Bond of I.R. Kipper in.the amount of $ 200.00 , Surety
R.H. Pearce, was approved on motion.of W.B. Partin seconded.by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the application of
F. Moreno and J. Barraeh for license -for Restaurant at 1235 Monterey Street was referred to
the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
The application of Soper & Son for license for Soft Drinks at 2040 Broad
Street was granted on motion.of James Piper seconded.by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The applications of Virginia. Murphy for license.for Boarding House and
Lodging House at 662 Osos Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and
Safety for investigation and report on motion of Geo. !R.:Kilbern seconded by James Piper.
The reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the month.of February
were received and ordered filed on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W..Kilbern:
P.D. Cornelius and C.C. Hunsaker appeared before the Council in support of a
petition
from property owners
, praying for the
opening of
Kentucky Avenues from
Second .
Street to
Murray Avenue.
Matter referred to
the City
Attorney for report to
the
Council as to the status of the said Street City Clerk to communicate with the
Southern Pacific Company relative to the matter.
The petition of R. Bavena relative to the removal of Garage was ordered f
and matter to continue for one week.
The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were presented and
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
