Ordinance No. 92 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance regulating the Parking of
Vehicles on.the Streets of the City was finally passed on motion of James Piper seconded
by W.E. ! 3artin by the following vote : -
Ayes : W.B. Martin, Geo. W..Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Noes : None.
Absent : H.B. Gorman.
The application of A.S. Jenny for permit to construct a Lubricating Station
and Wash Rack ih Block 23 was again brought up and granted,on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern
seconded by W.B. Martin with the understanding that the piling supporting the said plat-
If orm be constructed of Brick, Concrete or Steel.
The. petition of Albert Caier for transfer. of licenses for Soft Drinks and
Cigars Sidellne at 1034 Morro Street to John Ghigliotti was granted on motion of W.B. Mart
seconded by James Piper.
The applicationt of W.C. Straub for license for. Restaurant at 959Monterey St.
was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. A. Kilbern.
The application of Geo. W. Kilbern for permit to set a pole on Upham Street
between Broad and High Street was granted on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by _-.
James Piper.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the meeting adjourned
to Monday, March 26th at 7:30 P.M.

The application of H. Redmond'for license for Soft Drinks at 1371 Monterey
Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
The petition of Joe Milani for permit:to place a step on sidewalk at entrancle
to Restaurant at 995 Higuera Street wqs. granted on motion of H.A. cowman seconded.by
James Piper .
On motion of Geo. 17. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the City Engineer was
instructed to make survey for Serer extension.of north -Broad Street, and on various other
streets where such extensions are deemed necesary.
Ernest Vollmer appeared before the Council and requested permit for the
extension of. a Spur Track across High and Pismo Street to Block 114 Reeds Addition, to
serve warehouse to be erected by A.Sauer & Co.
On motion of H.A. cowman seconded
by James.Piper the request was granted subject to provisions to be drawn by the City
Attorney and presented at the next meeting.
On motion of H.A. Gasman seconded by Geo. 17. Kilbern and carried the Mayor
was empowered and directed to enter. into a Contract with Wallace & Tiernan Co., Inc. for
the purchase of a Chlorinator in accordance with the following terms:
Said Company hereby leases to said City for the term of Five ( 5 ) months , one (1)
type M.D.A. Chlorinator , on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, for the total
rental of Seven Hundred Seventy Five Dollars and Fifty Cents E 8 775.50 ) with interest
thereon from March 26th 1923, at the rete of per annum. Said 6 775.50 shall be
payable in five equal monthly installments of $ 155.10 each. Interest shall be.paid:
monthly on the balance due. If the payments herein provided for are well and truly made
by said City,then said Chlorinator shall become the property of said City at the expiration
of this lease without any other coat whatever to said City.
Resolution No. 149 ( New Series ) , A Resolution Relative to the Importance
of Continuing California Polytechnic School was introduced and adopted by the following vot4
Ayes : W.B. Martin, H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Sindheimer.
Noes : None.
Absent : None.
Copies of the hereinabove names resolution were ordered sent to the following named:
Hon. Friend W. Richardson, C.C. Young, Arthur H. Breed , Frank F. Merriam.-Ralph Hughes
and Alex Mc Milian.
Resolution No. 150 ( New Series ) , A Resolution in re Gasoline Tax & Motoi
Vehicle Fund was introduced and adopted by the following vote on motion of H.A. Gowman
seconded by W.B.. Martin:
Ayes : W.B Martin, H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Noes : None.
Absent : None.
P.D. Cornelius and C.C. Hunsaker appeared relative to the opening of
Kentucky Avenue. Platter discussed. On motion of James Piper seconded by
Geo. IN. Kilbern the City Engineer was requested and directed to view territory and submit
plans and suggestions in re opening Street or Streets in and about Kentucky Avenue, S.P.
R.R. and adjoining propertyt Motion carried.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted on motion of
H.A. Go:4man seconded by James Piper.
The application of F. 'Moreno and J. Barrach for license for Restaurant at
1235 Monterey Street was granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
The applications of Myra W. Woods and Roscoe T Murray for permit to place
signs were granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper.
