The merchandising Bond of Frank Gore, Surety -Enos Jones, was referred to the City Attorney for approval on kotion of Geo..W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin. The petition of property owners for a Street Light at the corner of Woodbridge and Lawton.Avenue was - ordered. laid over with other like petitions. The report of City Engineer , W.B. Burch , that the pavement work on Garden Street between Higuera - and Marsh Street had -been constructed in accordance with City Specifications for that type-of work was received and ordered filed on motion of W.B. Martin seconded. by. Goe. W. • Kilbern. On.motion.of-W.B.-Martin seconded by Geo. T. Kilbern claims against the City for the month of March were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments. On motion of TI.E. ! iartin seconded by Geo. Martin, H.A. Gowman , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent Geo. W. Kilberm. The application of H. Redmond for license for Soft Drinks at 1371 Monterey Street was granted. Communication from Southern Pacific Railroad Company relative to the matter of opening Kenttwky Avenue 'gas read. City Clerk directed to communicate with said Company. The claim of George Mutts in the amount of $ 99.00 for use of Automobile was under discussion. It was moved by H.A. Goaman and seconded by W.B. !Partin that the bill be paid. The motion was lost for the lack of a second. Matter laid over to the next meeting.
