City Council met in regular session - Commissioner W.B.I:Ia - tin presiding.

on motion of C.14.Carpenter seconded by Chas Formes.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of

On motion•of Chas Worbes seconded by C.I:I.Carpenter the following application
for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted :
Rose Ella Ramage - 100 ft 5 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the north side of Pacific
Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street,
Hanuel V. Rosa - 157 ft 5 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the north side Pacific Street
between Santa Rosa and Toro Street,
Edgar Childers - 125 ft of 5ft park sidewalk and curbing on the north side Pacific
Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street,

The following Ilerc hand ising, Bonds were received and referred to the
Commissioner of Finance and-Revenue for report: Ed Martin, surety Paul Sada;

The report of the City Clerk for the month of March was received and ordered
filed on motion of C.I1.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes,
Petition of E.A, Shaw for permit to change location of lunch-Counter from
964 to 686 Higuera Street was approved on motion of C.11.Carpen-ter seconded by Chas Forbes,
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.L1.Carpenter the petition of Hotel
Alvis for permit to place an electric sign at 679 Higuera Street was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety tivith power to act. 1
Petition of A.E'.Arano et al, for Street Light on Islay Street between
Liorro and Chori o Street was referred to the Cormissioner of Public Works for investigation
and report.
Petition of G.C.Brown for transfer of Ivierchandising L=icense fo A.H. Albin
granted on motion of C.IaI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
The City Attorney submitted a. report or outline of t1,e legal procedure -under
which City Planning and Zoning may be carried out and the same was received and placed on
file for future reference, on motion of C.L-1.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
