The matter of the ,appointment, of a Chief of Police to succeed ';d.F.Cook,
resigned, was brought up, but laid over for a full attendance of the members of the
Council.
In a communication the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation estimated
the cost of moving,three 25 K.W.transformers from Laguna to.Dalidio property at $ 175.00.
On motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes it was ordered that the work be done.
On motion of Geo,V-1,Yilbern seconded by Chas Forbes P.Ir Bettencourt was grant
water for stock .,at the prescribed rate.
On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the meeting adjourned to
Wednesday, Sept 3rd at 2 o'clock PeNe

City Council met in adjourned session - Commissioner W.B.Martin presiding.
Present : V1.B.Martin, C.M.Carpenter, Geo.W.Kilbern , Chas Forbes.
Absent : L.F.Sinsheimer.
Fred Wallace, on behalf of the promotors of the races at Exposition Park on
Sunday, September 7th., appeared and requested permit to close certain streets leading
from Broad Street to the park. The request was granted on motion of C.IvI.Carpenter
seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern.
The matter of the appointment of a Chief of Police was again brought up,
but because of the fact that all members of the Board were not present no action was taken.
On motion of C.L,I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the meeting adjourned to
Thursday, September 4th at 10 O'clock A,M,
