office, was introduced and passed to print on motion of CoM.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forb,
by the following vote:

Noes : None.
Absent: L.F.Sinsheimer.

In re matter of appointment of Chief of Police: Commissioner C.M.Carpen
nominated W.J.Duddleson. The Chair asked if -there were any further nominations.
There being none , it was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by Geg,W.Kilbern that
W, J.Duddleson be appointed Chief of Police and Health officer of,the City of San Luis
Obispo, to assume the duties of the office immediately. The motion carried by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes : W.B.Martin, C.M.Carpenter, Geo.PJ, Kilbern, Chas Forbes.
Noes : None,
Absent : L.F.Sinsheimer.
On motion of C,M,Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the meeting adjourned to
londay,September 8th at 7 :30 P.M.
