Ordinance Flo. 107 ( New Series ), An Ordinance regulating the Business of
selling in the Public Streets, providing for the issuance and revocation of permits and
prescribing penalties for the violation thereof, was finally passed on motion of C,1-!.Carpen1
seconded by Chas Forbes by the following vote:
Ayes : W.B.Idartin, C.Ij.Carpenter, Geo.I,I.Kilbern, Chas Forbes.
Noes : None.
Absent : L.F.Sinsheimer.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo,W,Kilbern it was ordered that the
insurance on City Property be renewed.
Superintendent of Streets 1,W.IvIoore spoke of the matter of the completion,
by the contractors on IAarsh Street Paving, of that part of the culvert drains at Street
intersections which lie without the line of the;Paving Contrast. Discussion.
' On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Geo,W.Kilbern the City Engineer was directed to
authorize the Contractor to do the extra work on culverts, to complete the harsh Street
paving project. I3otion carried.
In re Improvement of Lower Higuera Street: Discussion. On motion of
C.kI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the Commissioner of Public Viorks was requested to
certain the disposition of the Board of Supervisors relative to the improvement of the
said Street.
On motion of C.Ivi.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the meeting adjourned to
onday, November 24th at 7:30 P.P.I.

granted permit to connect with the City Sewer on Idarsh Street between Ida and Grove Street.
Applications of the I.Iidland Counties Public Service Corporation Nos, 91 and
92 , for permit to set 40 ft poles and install anchor on Broad Street between Peach Street
and Stenner

and to replace a

The report of the City Treasurer for the month of October was received and

The applications of J.S.Sullivan for license for Cigars Sideline and Soft
Drinks at the Winter Garden, Kaiser Building; were referred , on motion of Chas Forbes
seconded by W.B.I.-Tartin, to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation
and report.
A delegation of property owners on Palm Street between the Southern Pacific
Railroad right of way and I,Iontere�T Street were present and urged that Palm Street be improved.
The matter was discussed at length. Property owners to file a petition in lieu of one
already on file.
On motion of W.B.Iviartin seconded by 0.I1.CQrpenter the application of
IJartha Day for permit to make certain repairs to building in Block 13 was granted.
