City Council met in regular session 6 Commissioner W,B.Ilartin presiding.
Present : 1l.B.I:iartiii C.L. Carpenter , Geo.li. r�i lbern Chas Forbes.
Absent : L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of February 2nd.and 9th, were read and approved as read on
motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo. ',% Kilbern.
The following applications.for permit to build were granted on motion of
Geo.W.Kilberr_ seconded by Chas Forbes :
D.B.Ilazza - Garage pt lot 5 & 6 Block 110 Cost $ 75.00
Robt, J. Brown - Garage lot 10 Block 5 " 100.00
Arthur & Claudia Schmidt - Garage Block 61. " 75.00
Joseph Ilaino - Repairs to house partially destroyed by fire, pt lot 5
block 34 Cost 11800.00___
On motion of Geo.G/.Hilbern seconded by-Chas Forbes applications for permit
to lay sidewalk were granted as follows :
A:B. I'Jelim - 58 ft 5 ft park sidewalk on the south side of Buchon Street between
Ilipomo and Beach Street.
Label De Troy - 50 ft 5 ft park sidewalk on the south side of Buchon Street between
Beach :znd ilipomo Street.
J.P.Andrews Est - To replace 30 ft of full width sidewalk in front of -the Andrews hotel.
The applications of Mrs. Richmond R. Anderson for license for Cigar Store -
and-Soft Drinks in Hedwig L. Smith 3uilding in R.i.Avenue were - referred to the-Commissio
of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report.

On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo.' :1. %ilbern the petition of J.B.Schmitt
for permit to hang a sign at Schmitt's Specialty Shop , 1239 I:Ionterey Street was referred
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, with pourer to act.
Petition of G.1- 7.11eynolds for permit to install a gasoline sidewalk pump at
the junction of Santa Bar'hara Avenue and Broad Street, was granted on motion of Geo.111.17-ilbe
seconded by Chas Forbes.
The application of Hedwig I.Smith for sewer co2uiectior_ on Church Street
between Osos and Santa Rosa Street was granted on motion of Geo.l.Hilbern seconded by
Chas Forbes.
Application of l'l.B.I.Ioses for license for Lodging House at 1011 Morro Street
granted on motion of C.L.C� ^penter seconded by Chas Forbes.
The opinion of the City Attorney relative to the matter of the Bunkers
of the Granite Construction Co., and the Central Supply Company , together with a letter
from the Central Supply Co., was read. The same was ordered filed for future reference
on motion of C.L.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
