Anholm Brothers presented a map showing plan for proposed subdivision of
their property. Matter continued.
.J.Taylor Smith appeared relative to the parking of Automobiles in Garden
Street between Higuera and Marsh Street. Matter to be taken up later.
In re application of R.F.Shawhan for exhaust pipe for Coffee Roaster:
Discussion . It was moved by C.M.Carpenter and seconded by Chas Forbes that the applicai
in its present form be denied'- The motion carried,
Upon favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes
the application of F.T.Takumi for license for Taxicab was granted%
Upon favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes
the application of Mrs. Lenore Gale for license for lodging house at 143 Santa Barbara A
was granted .
The matter of the. application of Horace W. Bickford for license for laundry
continued for future consideration on motion of C. ?.,.Carpenter seconded by Chas. Forbes.
On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas.For bes the following licenses
were ordered cancelled :
1729 - D. Theodosio Ice Cream Wagon. 2.50
1925 - Thos. Joyce Freight Line 2.00 $4.50
On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas. Forbes the meeting adjourned to
Friday May 15th at 7 :30 P.M.

City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : W.B.Martin, C.M.Carpenter, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : Geo.W.Kilbern.
Petition of John Chapek relative to tag sale Lot 16 Block 186 Ingleside
Tract again taken up. Discussion Matter deferred to the next meeting.
Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer announced that this was the date, in accordance with
Charter provision, for officers elect to be inducted into office. The Bonds of offices
elect, i.e.,- L.F.Sinsheimer, Mayor ; John Chapek and H.E.Cox-,.Councilmen and Callie M.
City Clerk, were approved. The officers having subscribed to the prescribed oath of o
took thier places at the Council table Retiring Commissioner W.B.It4artin
spoke briefly., Mayor. .L.F.Sinsheimer responding- and the new Council proceeded.with
Ithe regular order of business.
On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes and carried the I.D.E.S.
(Hall Association was granted permit to build a store Room 'on premises in Block 63.
The petition of Mary J. Gnesa for transfer of Lodging House license to
(Abe Bloomberg was referred to Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on moti
lof Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox.
