City Hall, Monday, June 15th 1925 - 7 :30 P.M.
City Council met in regular session - Layor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : C.M. Carpenter,;.. John Chapek , H.E.Cox , _Chas Forbes , L.F.Sinsheimer. .
Absent : N6ne.
The minutes of June lst and 8th were read and approved as read on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox the following applications for
permit to build were granted:
Donna M,danes - pt lot 4.Block 21 Central Addition , Residence Cost 2,000.00
Garage " 80100
Paul Sada - Garage part lot 5 Block 16 " 100.00
The application of Donna M. Janes for permit to lay 50 ft of 5 ft park side
walk on the south side of Buchon Street between Toro and Essex Street was granted on motio3
of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes.
The application of R. Reeves for Iicenses_'for Cigar Store and Soft Drinks at
719 Higuera Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report
on motion of John Chapek seconded by Chas Forbes.
Communication of Chester F Jordan, Forest Supervisor, requesting cooperation
and assistance , by the City of San Luis Obispo, in payment of Fire guard's salary read.

Discussion It was moved by C.M, Carpenter and seconded by Chas Forbes that $ 100.00
be contributed toward payment of guard's salary. The motion carried.
The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were received and referrer
to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motiog of
Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of C.IeI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the following licenses
were ordered cancelled
2117 - F.T.Takumi Taxicab 18.75
f 2127 - Chas S. Masterson Tea Room 1.65

Claim of the Municipal Bond Company of Los Angeles, in the amount of
$ 29700.00 , being the amount due from the City of San Luis Obispo in the matter of the
improvement of Marsh and other Streets as described in Resolution of Intention No. 171
( New Series ) of the Council of said City, was ordered paid on motion of C.M,Carpenter
seconded by Chas Forbes.
Dr Sutherland of the County Health Department was present and discussed ,
with members of the Council, the proposed plan of merging the County and City Health
Departments. The matter was discussed at some length , and it was motred by C.Iv !.Carpent
and seconred by Chas Forbes that the City Attorney be requested to look into the legal
aspect of a proposed contract with the County and City Health departments and if found
lawful to enter such contract, to submit a form of contract for discussion by the Council.
The motion carried.
On motion of C.IvI.darpentex seconded by Chas Forbes , E.E.Thompson was appo
as Police Officer at a salary of $ 125.00 per month.
On motion of H.R.Cox seconded by C.M.Carpenter the City Engineer was directed
to furnish the Council with estimate of cost of new water main on Higuera Street from
Street to Uipomo Street,
City Engineer L.W.Tjoole reported informally relative to the matter of the
ity acquiring additional land in Reservoir canon. The matter was continued pending
urther information form the li.S.Land Office.
Commissioner H.7-. Cox reported relative to interwiew with property owners
