On motion of C.1I.Carpenter seconded by John Chapek the matter of the contract with the County Health Unit was laid over for one week. City Council met in regular session - I:Iayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding. Present : C.E.Carpeiater, John Chapek, ti. .Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : None. The minutes of June 15th., 22d. and 29th. were read and approved as read on motion of Chas rlorbes seconded by h.F.Coa. The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of Chas r'orbes seconded by H.3.Cox: Douglas Patton - Garage lot 3 Block 7 Central Addn Cost 150.00 John Stich - Garage - lots .10-11-12 Block 2 Vleills Addn. " 150.00 Iuiary V, Higuera - Addn of screen porch , part lot 10 -11 -12 Block 4 Vleills Addn 20.00 J.Z.Anderson - Addn of sun room and general repairs Block 60 Cost 800.00 The petition of Chas Pace.for transfer of license for Barber at 878 Monterey Street to J.D.Mc Farland was granted on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes. The report of.the City Collector and the Police Judge for the mbnth.of June were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes-seconded by John Chapek. The petition of Maddalena and Co for permit to hang an electric sign at 645 Higuera Street and a steel sign at 647 Higuera Street was granted on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes. The application of the Blackstone Hotel ( L.T.Curtright ) for license for cig sideline was granted upon favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by H::E Cog. Bids for the legal advertising of the City of Ban Luis Obispo which were received on June 29th-and which were laid over for one week were again taken up. Attor L.A.rnos appeared for the Herald•Publishing Company. Discussion followed. :Commissi C.M.Carpenter moved that the matter be deferred for 30 days or until the Daily Record has established with the Council legal proof of its status - Commissioner Chas Forbes second this motion when the 30 day provision had been stricken out. Fur:they::disciission::.Iiotion withdrawn. It was then moved by John Chapek and seconded by C.M.Carpenter that the Tribune Printing Co be awarded the contract for the legal advertising for the fiscal year July 1st 1925 - June 30th 1926, said Tribune Printing Co being considered the lowest responsible bidder.
