Property owners
on Dana Street
were present
in support
of the petition for
Paving the said Street.
City Engineer
reported that
petition as
presented represented
seventy five per cent of frontage. City Engineer also presented revised plans for the
improvement of Palm and other Streets, also including Dana Street, Discussion,
City Attorney to bring the necessary Resolutions for the next meeting.
The application of J.H. Logan for permit to remove a house from lot l Block
116 Reeds Addition to Lot 4 Block 50 was granted on-motion of H.E.Cox seconded by C.M.Carpe ter.
Applications of J.M.Cochran for license for Cigar Store and Soft Drinks at 1020
Railroad Avenue were again laid over at the request of Commissioner of Public Health and
Safety.
Petition of J.D.Gilliland for transfer of license for Hotel Andrews to
A.J.Barnes was granted on. motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox. -
The matter of the abandonment of Liinor Street was now taken up and it was
suggested by Mr Slusher that the new street, established in lieu of i.iinor Street, be
designated as, and officially called Hillcrest Place. Discussion. On motion of
C.M.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox the new street was, without objection, christened
" Hillcrest Place."
Ordinance No. 120 ( New Series ) An Ordinance Abandoning Minor Street, provi
for the Execution of a Deed conveying the Title to said-Street, providing for the acquisitio
of a new street and fixing the official name of said new street was introduced and passed to
print on motion of C,Y,Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox by the following vote:
Ayes : C.M.Carpenter, H.E.Cox, Chas Forbes.
Uoes : None.
Absent : John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer.
City Engineer brought up the matter relative to the manner in which approaches
to drive ways had been constructed on Buchon and other Streets recently paved. Discussion.
It was moved by C.IYI.Carpenter and seconded by H,E.Cox that the City Engineer be authorized
to require the removal of the said approaches in question and that the work be done ace
to specification and under the supervision of the City Engineer.
It was moved by C.L.Carpenter and seconded by H.E.Cox that the Council go into
executive session.
On motion of C.LZ.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox the meeting adjourned.
