lot 12 Block 4 was laid over for one week on motion of H.E.Cox seconded.by Chas.Forbes.
Application of Albert Pedranti for .permit to build a residence and garage on a part
of lot 4 Block 27 at a cost of 3,000.00 , also a residence and garage on a part of lot 5
block 27 at a cost of"$ 3,500.00 , were granted on motion of H:E.Cox seconded by John Chapek

The application of Emma Pacheeo.for license for Restaurant at 1023 Court Street
was referred to the Commissioner of Puhlie Health and Safety for report to the Council on motic

The application of Y Xatanabe for permit to lay sidewalk on the west side of Higuers
Street between South Street and French Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public 'oorks
for report to the Council on motion of John Chapek seconded by'Chas Forbes:
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox the following petitions for permit to
place signs were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation
and report to the Council Mrs.T.Urushima at Fish Market 156 Higuera Street; Y.Watanabe
at j & M Grocery 198 Higuera street, and .S. Takayama, Restaurant at 198 Higuera Street.
A petition was received from the Veterans' Welfare Board in which it was requested
that taxes now levied against lots 19 & 20 in Block 3 Central Addition, and also, on a certain
parcel of land in Block 138 Phillips Addition be cancelled in accordance with Chapter 252,
Statutes of 1925. After discussion the matter was referred to the Commissioner of
Finance and revenue for report to the Council.
Appl- ication.of Mary Agnes O'Reilly for permit to build a Service Station etc at the
junction of Monterey Street and Murray Avenue was brought up and it was moved by L.J.Defosset
and seconded by Chas Forbes that the application .be.granted. Matter further discussed and
the motion was withdrawn. It was then moved by L.J.Defosset and seconded by H.E.Cox that
the matter be referred to the City Attorney for report to the Council. The motion carried.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the petition of G.W.Long for permit
to plant trees on his premises at 546 Higuera Street was granted.
Matter relative to Sewer in Anholm Addition continued.
The petition of Lawrence Austin in re abandonment of Auto Park was taken up.
Matter discussed and it was moved by L.J.Defosset and seconded by H:L.Cox that the premises
now used as an Auto Camp Ground be abandoned as such, on and after May let 1928 ;
to that effect be posted on property. The motion carried.
