City Hall, 1.londay, June 30th 1930 - 7 :30 P.;"
City Council met in adjourned session - ::iayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
(Present : L.J.Defosset, r..Cox. John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer.
lAbsent : Chas Farbes.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H.R..Cox
seconded by John Chapek:

Standard Oil Co- Super Service Station 3lock 152 Harford Addn Cost 750.00
Application of I.J.Lewelling for permit to lay 50 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk,
curbing and gutter on the south side of I:iontalban Street between. Santa :osa Street and Toro
(Street was received. Said application V.*2s laid over pending establishment of Grades.
IOn motion. of r_.E.Co__ seconded by L .J.Defosset the City Engineer was instructed to submit grades
for :.:ontalban S .rest to the Council.

Chorro Street viere referred to the Commissioner of Public health and Safety for report to the
Council, on motion of Joh;z Chapek seconded by H.E'.;ox*

perElit to do certain work, as set out in application on file, was referred on emotion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek to the Corimissioner of Public Vlorks for investigation and
report io the Council.
The report of the City Treasurer fir the month of Day, and , of the rolice Judge
for the.month of June, were received and ordered filed on motion of L.J.Defos-set seconded by
John Chapeke
Application of = .C.Halpin for permit to lay.69 ft of sidewalk and curbing in
31ock 18 Anholm Addition �,ras granted, on motion of H•F.Cox seconded by L.J.Defossetg with the
>rovision that work be done as outlined in City Engineer's slat on file.
Application of the Standard Oil Company of California for permit to build
,pproach to Service Station, Block 17 was now taken up. ?.'atter discussed.

ffectiveness of the grant, the said Standard Oil Company shall file with the Councf 1 a written
tatenent, to the effect that the said Company assumes all liability in connection there::fith.

On ;Notion of L.J.Defossot seconded by = :.E.Cox the application of Cline's Electric
(Shop for per:,iit to install a neon leetrie Sign at 600 Higuera street for L..y ;1.11awrence, was
igranted, with .tho provision that the said sign be placed within the property line and installat-
on be in accordance with Ordinance.

the respective Bide were accompanied by a certified check or Bidders Bond in the reouired
amount.
It was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by John Chapek that the Contract for the
construction of Ida Strect Bridge be awarded to Irving L. Ryder at the price named in hid Bid,
11,495.00. The :notion carried.
On motion of sccor_ded by John Chapek it was ordered that certified checks
or bonds which accompanied the Bids of .-.:unsuccessful bidders be returned.
Resolution No. 327 ( W`er'e Series ) or the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo
awarding the Contract for the work described in Resolution of Intention i%To. 319 ( Mew Series )
to Irving L.Ryder at the price named in his Bid was introduced and adopted, on motion of H.s,.0
