Present : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset,-H.E ;Cox, John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : None. ' The :minutes of September 2d and 8th were read and approved as read on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes the following applications were grantE (with the provision that work in last named application be done under the supervision of the On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John,Chapek the following applications for permit to lay curbing and gutter were granted,-work to be done under'supervision of the City Engineer: Hrs. O.P iaTurray - 150 ft curbing and gutter on the-North side of Sandercock Street between Ward street and Story Street, Iwirs. O.P. h4urray - 100 ft of curbing and gfitter on the east side of '.lard Street between Sandercock Street and high Street. (John Stick - 75 ft curbing and gutter on the north side of Sandercock Street between Stor,- Street and .Yard Street. ' A petition was received from A.L Cunningham and H.J.Laird for permit to tear out Ind replace a 12 foot sidewalk for a distance of 84 feet on the north side of :.ionterey Street between Osos Street and Santa Bosa'6treet, with the request that permit be given to ramp the 1 1 sidewalk one half the width for 84 feet. i::atter discussed. It was moved by H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defoset that the petition, as prayed for, be granted with the provision t said action of the Council be revocable at the pleasure of the Council. The motion carried. The applications of i. I:omii for licenses for Billiards & Pool and Soft Drinks at 66 Elam Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health. and 5afetg for investigation report to the Council. In a communication, Victor Peters, requested permit to tear doom and remove the storg frame building on lots 5 d 6 Block 99 - corner Idersh Street and Piorro Streets,— The %equest was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes the LIerchandising Bond of the Guarantee Electric Shop, also, the license 621 in the amount of y" 4.00 issued to the said Firm were ordered cancelled, the said Firm having decided not to operate in the City of San Luis Cbippo On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.H. Defosset the petition of Erna P. T,:Iarsh, Chairman History and Landmarks Section of 'Honday Club, for permit to erect a Historic j"onument at the corner of 030S and !,_ill Streets, Lot 2 Block 19, was granted. The application of G.H.Bowen for per-lit to connect with Stub Sewer on North Broad Street between ':eountaiA View Street and Lincoln Street was granted. The matter of the application of H.C.Kinsamn for permit to connect with Sewer on ixline Street between Lizzie Street and Upham Street was again laid over. City Engineer : L.H.Gibson Stub sewer connection Pacific Street between Broad Street and ilipomo Street. City School Board - 2 stub Sewer Con, Pacific Street between Nipomo Street and Beach Street. Everett Bovee - Sewer connection Hillcrest Place between Grove Street and Park Street. E.J.Bowles - Sewer connection Second Street between Kentucky Street and Johnson Street. Clementina i:Iuzio - to cut.pavement to.repair broken sewer on I:•Ionterey Street between Essex Street and Johnson Street.
