HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/26/19312� 6 City Hall, 1.4onday, January 26th, 19319 7 :30 P.m. City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L. F. Sinsheimer presiding Present: Chas. Forbes, L. J. Defosset, H. E. Cox, John Chapek, L. F. Sinsheimer. Absent : None The application of Fred Juhl for permit to build a residence and garage on Lot 28 Loma Vista Addition, was granted on motion of H. E. Cog seconded by L. J. Defosset. The application pf the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to place pole on the south side of Branch Street, 106' east of the west line of Harris Street was re- ferred to the Commissioner of Public Forks with power to act, on motion of John Chapek seconded by Chas. Forbes. The application of the Valley Electric Company for permit to hang a Neon sign 8' x 41, horizontal, weight -150 pounds, at the Ford Garage, 1101 Idonterey Street, in conjuncti( with the r resent storage sign, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council on motion of John Chapek seconded by Chas. Forbes. The communication received from the State Compensation Insurance Fund relative to renewal of Policy expiring February 7th, 1931, was taken up and on motion of John Chapek seconded by L. J. Defosset the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue with power to act. The application of Joe Robasciotti for license for-Cigar Store at 1226 Osos Street was denied on motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by Chas. Forbes. Relative to the petition of 2. S. Shatford, et al., for the establishment of Street Grade on Lizzie Street: City Engineer presented profile map. Fatter discussed. The City Engineer and the City Attorney to furnish the Council with the necessary papers.relative to the :natter. The matter of the licensing of the business of selling merchandise brought in from outside territory by trucks was under discussion. City Clerk read communication from City Clerk of South San Francisco relative to such matter. Discussion followed and the City Attorney was directed to secure copies of Ordinances from other citive bearing on the matter and present to the Council. The City Engineer presented plans and specifications for the improvement of Pacific Street. Clatter discussed and the City Attorney was directed to present to the Council, at the next meeting, the necessary Resolutions, etc. The matter of the petition of H. C. Figge, et al,, for connecting proposed sewer for California Park and Arlington Subdivisions was continued. On motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by L. J. Defosset the meeting adjourned.
