Cox the matter of opening bids on Sewer Pipe, which said bids were received on Karch 23rd, 1931, was postponed to Monday, Idarch 30th, 1931. On motion of H. E. Forbes, L.J. Defosset, H. 3. Cor, John Chapek. L. F. Sinsheimer. Absent : None. The applications of P. Christiansen for licenses for Soft Drinks, Cigar Sideline and Billiards and Pool at 1006 Railroad Avenue were referred to the-Commissioner pf Public Health and Safety for report to the Council. The application of Ella Vells for permit to install a stub sewer on Islay Street between Santa Rosa Street and Toro Street was granted on motion of H. E. Cox seconded by John Chapek. On motion duly seconded and carried the petition of C. D. Stowe for permit to install two 10,000 gallon under- ground gasoline sta:•age tanks under sidewalk area on French Street west of Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council. The application_ of Frances Garage (F.Iv ?. Sakata) for permit to install a pump and tank for the storage and sale of gasoline at 120 Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on- motion of Chas. Forbes; seconded by H. F. Cox. The City Engineer filed a.report relative to sewer connections on Islay Street Cn motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by Chas. Forbes the City Clerk was directed to notify property oti:.,ners on Islay Street that it vaas desired by the Council that all sewer connections on Islay Street be installed in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 53 (Nei::- Series) . It appearing that the Bid of the Cornwall Construction Company was the lowest bid of all Bids received, it was moved by i. J. Uefosset seconded by Chas. Forbes that the contract for the work described in resolution of Intention No. 346 (New Series), be awarded to the Cornwall Construction Company at the prices named in its Bid and in accordance with plans and specifications for the work. Resolution Ito. 352 (New Series), 3 Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo awarding t'e contract for the work described in Resolution of Intention 295 No. 346 (New Series), was introduced and adopted on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by L. J. Defosset by the following vote: Ayes Chas. Forbes. L. J. Defosset, H. E. Cox, John Chapek, L. F. Siiasheimer. Noes None. Absent: None. On imotion of John Chapek seconded by H.'E. Cox it was ordered that the Certified Checks and Bonds accompanying Bids of the unsuccessful bidders be returned. The motion carried. The matter of considering Bids, called for I ?arch 23rd, 1931, on server pipe.which said bids were not opened on I: "arch 23rd, the Council now proceeded to open said Bids. San Luis Obispo It was moved by H. E. Cox seconded,by John Chapek that the above Bids be taken under advisement for one week. The motion carried. Cox that I,Ionday, April 6th, 1931, at 7 :30 P.I:i. be set as the date for Hearing at hick time contractors are expected to appear before the Council and show cause why their aid. licenses should not be paid. In re Radio Inspector: Discussion. It was moved by L. J. Defosset seconded by . R. Cox that a Radio Inspector be employed for a period not to exceed sixty days at a salary t to exceed One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars per month of which Radio dealers will contribute t less than'Forty ($40.00) Dollars per month.
