Sinsheimer. Absent : L. J. Defosset. The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H. E. Cog seconded by John Chapel: .Clarence Rubell - Residence and Garage, lot 2, Block 10, Anholm Addition Cost 4000.00 Clarence Rubell - Eesidence and Garage, lot 12, Block 11, Axiholm zddition Cost 4000.00 Clarence 3ubell - Residence and Garage, lot 13, Block 11, Aziholm Addition Cost 4000.00 B. F. Gaxiola - Garage (replacement) part of lot 4, Block 1, Wa ills Addn. Cost 100.00 The application of C. H. Lamm for permit to build a garage on a part of lot 3. Block 87, LLission Vineyard Tract, at a cost of $142.00 was granted on motion of H. E. Cog seconded by Chas. Forbes with the provision that the Ordinance governing the construction of buildings in the fire zone be complied with. Application of Clem I,Iaddalena for permit to build a Super - Service Station in Block 22 corner of Osos Street and Iliguera Street, at a cost of $10,800.00 w$s granted on motion of H. E. Cox seconded by Chas. Forbes. The petition of Theodore I.I. I,iaino for permit to install one 10,000 gallon and three 1,000 gallon gasoline storage tanks at Super- Service Station of Clem IvIaddalena, corner of Osos Street and Higuera Street, Block 22, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by E. E. Cox. T he petition of Theodore I:I. Iriaino relative to ramping sidewalks on Osos Street and Higuera Street, Block 22, for driveways to Super - Service Station now under construction, in accordance -,ith :nap presented, was referred to the Commissioner of rublic 4dorks with an idea of reducing space proposed to be ramped, and report to the Council at the next meeting. The petition of Carl Walmer for transfer of license for Parcel Service to Lloyd Logan was granted on motion of John Chapek; seconded by Chas. Forbes the application of Santa 1!aria Gas Cc for permit to break pavement 4' x 41 to repair gas main at a point. on North Broad Street near the Carlos Serrano home was granted with the provision that the pavement be restored to its original condition. The report of the City Collector for the month of April 1931, was received and ordered filed on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by H. F. Cox. In re fire cooperation Santa Barbara National Forest:_ It was moved by Chas. Forbe: and seconded by H. E. Cog that the City of San Luis Obispo contribute $100.00 to be used for salary.of a petrolman in the Lopez and Cuesta areas of the San Luis Obispo Fdater Shed for the summer season. City Clerk directed to draw warrant. Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation No. 191 "for work upon Chorro Street between Ialonterey Street and Sycamore Street and on Palm Street between Broad St., and I:Iorro Street was again laid over for -one week. Application of Olive B. ilartin for permit to connect with City Sewer on Osos Street between i•Ionterey Street and Higuera Street was again continued pending the riling of a report by the applicant. Application of Mrs. vv. H. dills for permit to lay 70 feet of curbing on the south side of High Street between Cypress Street and Beebee Street was again laid over pending the establishing of street grades. Relative to Twilight Recreation Park: Commissioner of Finance and Revenue, Chas. Forbes, reported. Sponsors of the movement were present and the matter was discussed at length with the Council. First: It was moved by Chas. Forbes and seconded by John Chapek that the Street Department put I:_itchell Lot in proper condition for use as a Public Play Ground. Second: It was moved by Chas. Forbes seconded by John Chapek that the City of San Luis Obispo contribute $50.00 toward the expense of conditioning said I,'itche11 Lot for a Public Twilight Recreation Ground. The Notion carried. The matter in connection with the adoption of a Building Code was discussed at le The City Attorney was requested to furnish the Council with a draft of an ordinance relative to same. The request of the Calif ornia.Polytechnic School for permit to move building across I.Iurray Street Bridge was granted on :-potion of H. E. Cox seconded by Chas. Forbes, with the understanding that the City of San Luis Obispo be recompensed for any damage that might be done to said Bridge and that the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. The Claim of James Piper against the City. of San Luis Obispo and the matter of ,,Ir.
