J.B.Berkemeyex, John-Chapek, H. .Cog, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer. None. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by H.E.Cox the application of Josephine Terrill .for permit to make addition to building on.part of Lot 11 Block 66, Mission Orchard Tract at a eost of $40.00 was granted. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset the following applications for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted : C. E. Sanders : 50 ft.of curbing on the west side of Chorro Street between Murray Street and Mission Street - Anholm Addition. S. A. Call : To construct 66 feet of full width sidewalk and curbing on the north side of Ieionterey Street between ivlorro Street and Chorro Street, IIrs.Agnes N.T. Lyman : 50 feet full width sidewalk on the north side of Upham Street between Chorro Street and I,'orro Street. Application of H.C.L'insman for permit to connect with Sewer on Lawton Street between Gloodbridge Street and "Litchell Drive was granted. Application of O.P.Iurray for permit to connect with Sewer on Mitchell Drive between Lawton Street and Story Street was granted on motion of H. .Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer with the provision that said connection be made to stub sewer, and the work done under supervision of the City:Engineer. The applications of the Valley Electric Company for permit to hang Electric Signa at Golden Rule Economy Service Station, G.1'l.IelcCage Garage, Kimball Service Company and Mission Hotel were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek the petition of Hotel- Keepers requesting reserve parking space in front of the respective Hotels, was ordered placed on unfinished file for future reference. The petition of the Salvation Army, By Envoy R. Eplett, for permit to operate a kitchen and sleeping quarters for the unemployed at 2125 Broad Street was denied, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek, on account of the location - its proximity to the Hawthorne_School Building and many private homes. The Chief of Police was requested to assist the Comr�ittee in an endeavor to find a better location. The petition of Emerson Parent - Teachers Association, by ISrs. Frank i�ditcosky, requesting permit to hold a parade on the afternoon of October 16th was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. Department. file. Said parade to be under supervision of the Police Communication from Chas. E. Teach, Superintendent of Schools, was ordered placed on Petition of San Luis Obispo High School District for permit to construct an Asphalt Macadam pavement on Ida Street between Marsh Street and Senior High School Building.as per Plans and Specifications submitted and on file was referred, on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset to the City Engineer for investigation and report to the Council. The application for the regular qxazter2g licenses were granted on motion of IL.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek, S. Dusi was granted licenses for Billiards & Pool, Cigars Sideline, and Mdse (Confectionery, Lunch, Soft Drinks,etc.) at 956 Monterey Street. 1 F1 1 1 1 1 1 1 ., 343 Application of the Pacific Telephone. and Telegraph Company for permit to do certain work =- Murray Avenue between Toro Street and Santa Rosa Street, as set out in application on file, was granted on.motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. Petition of P. Mazza for Sewer connection on Haskin Street between Bushnell Street and Rachel Street was taken up, and on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the City Engineer was directed to extend main line of sewer to take care.of petitioner. The petitions of Mrs. Dora ?:T.adonna and of '�%I.Burton for permit to construct a concrete retaining wall in San Luis Obispo Creek in Block 10 was again taken up. City Engineer presented plat showing location and structure of said proposed improvement, On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the petition was granted - work to be done under supervision of the City Engineer. Applications of film. Tat. Hollister for permit to remodel Store Room, Block 11,Central Addition at a cost of $100.00, and of A.W.Gilfillan.for permit to remodel building in Block 42 at a cost of $950.00 were granted on motion of H.B.Cox seconded by L.J.Defos.set. On motion of John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the following applications for permit to build were granted On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the Commissioner of Supplies was authorized to negotiate for the purchase of a new motorcycle for the Police Department. Resolution No. 364 (New Series) A Resolution fixing W. J. Charters - Residence & Garage,Lot 94,IMt.Pleasanton #1. Cost $4,500.00 W. J. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the Commissioner of Supplies was authorized to negotiate for the purchase of a new motorcycle for the Police Department. Resolution No. 364 (New Series) A Resolution fixing the salary of the Judge of the Police, Court of the City of San Luis Obispo was introduced and adopted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer by the following vote Ayes J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : None.. Absent : None. .Resolution No. 365 (New Series) Providing for the issuance of $18,000.00 principal amount of "City of San Luis Obispo Sewer Bonds of 1931 "; prescribing the date and form of said.Bonds and of Coupons to be attached thereto . Fixing the maturities thereof ; Authorizing the execution of said Bonds and Coupons, and providing for the levy of a tax to pay the principal and interest thereon, was introduced and adopted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek by the following vote Ayes J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes None. Absent None, Resolution No. 366 (New Series) A Resolution directing the Sale of Eighteen Thousand Dollars of City of San Luis Obispo Sewer Bonds of 1931, and setting the date for receiving bids for the sale of said Bonds as October 19th, 1931 at 7.30 P,P;I. was introduced and adopted on motion of John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer by the following vote Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer.
