The minutes of iJovember 2nd. end 9th. were read and approved as read on motion of
L.J.Lefosset seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by J.3.Berkemeyer the application of H.C.kinsman
for permit to build a residence and garage on parts of lots 11 -12 and 13, Block 94, I:;urray
and Church Addition, at a cost of $ 3,000.00 was granted.
The application of Clara I.Cullen for license for Cigars Sideline at 100 Santa Rosa
Street was referred to the CO- .1 of Public health and Safet.; for report to the Council.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the follov,ing I:ierchandising
Bonds were approved and the Sureties accented: Clara I. Cullen, Surety, Chas Forbes
I:Iilford E. Weis , Surety, Sun Indemnity Comrn�ny of New York.
Application of Cline's electric :;hop for permit to hang a iJeon ;;ign at Pacific
Hotel for 0. Homai was referred to the Coramissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to
the Council.
Application of the :Tanta _- -aria Gas Gompany for permit to break pavement at the
intersection of Higuera Street and French road was referred to the Commissioner of Public Viorks
for report to the Council on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Communications from J.L.Ililldrum and American Legion Post u 66 were ordered receive
and placed on file.
Application of Cline's Electric Shop for permit to hang a iJeon Sign on Higuera
.Street between Court Street and Morro Street, on property of A.F.Fitzgurald, for Mulholland's
Coffee Shop was granted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek, with the provision
that the said sign be installed under the supervision of the City "ngineer.
Application of Clem ':Iaddalena for permit to install Two 10,000 gallon gasoline
storage tanks at Service Station corner Higuera and Osos Street was granted, on .motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, with the provision that �7iork be done in accordance
with specifications of Board of Fire Underwriters, and with the further provision,that work be
done under the supervision_ of the City :ngineer.
The petition of ;arm 3. Hansen et.al. for the improvement of Chorro Street in the
Anholm ;.ddition, by laying sidewalk , curbing and gutter was again taken up, and the City eiizrj
was directed to send letterstto property owners advising that the City intended to initiate
proceedings, but before doing so, property owners who sodesire, will be given opportunity to
do their work by private contract. The petition wns received and ordered held as unfinishe
business.
