The petition of S. The following applications for permit to hang signs were referred to the Commissione of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council : Valley Electric Co - ideon Sign, Lladdalena Service Station, Higuera and Osos Street. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of October and that of the police Judge for the month of Idovember were received and ordered filed on motion of John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkeneger. Claims against the ity for the month of iovember were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E.Ci Representatives of the Dairy Industry were present and urged the Council to pass an Ordinance imposing a license on dealers selling butter substitutes. Discussion. The Dairy Council i,-as requested to furnish members of the City Council and the City attorney with a draft of a proposed Ordingnee. The application of �.W. Shurragar Jr. for permit to hang a sign at 1015 :;iorro Street was again laid over. The application of the Valley Electric Company for permit to hang a IJeon Sign at 565 Higuera Street, for :Master Brake Service, was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek with the provision that said sign be hung in accordance with Ordinance and under the supervision of t he City Engineer. The petition of the Seaside Oil Company for permit to install a 1000 gallon storage -. tank at Service Station corner of Broad and i.arsh Street was granted, on motion of L.J.Defosset secondecL by B;.E.Cox, with the provision that installation be made in accordance with rules and re- ulations of Board of Fire Underwriters and under the supervision of the City Engineer.
