City Hall, T.Zondsy; April 3rd 1933 - 7 :30 P.m,
City Council met in regular session - Vice President of the Council John Chapek
presiding.
Present : J.B,Berkemeyer, John Chapek. H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset.
Absent : Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
The :-iinutes of Mareh 20th. 27th. and 30th. were read and approved %s read on motion
of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkeseyer.
The following applications for perruit to build were granted on motion of H.E.Cox
seconded by L.J.Defosset :
Harmony Creamery- Milk Plant Block 60 Cost $ 19,000.00
C.E.Cooper - Fruit & Vegetable Stand Block 61 ( I1ilani property) Cost 250.00
Application of Mrs. Frank Sims for license for Cigars zjideline at The Bite ;pot
Lunch, 421 Higuera Street, referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report
to the Council, on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Reports of the City Collector and the Police Judge for the month of March 1933, were
received and ordered placed on file.
Petition of Raymond J. Hearne for permit to install One ( 1 ) 5',000 gallon, over-
ground, Deisel Fuel Oil Storage tank, on platform, on Lot 1 Block 173 Dallidet iddition,
Osoa and Islay Streets, received and referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
for investigation and report to the Council.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the following applications for
permit to sell Beer and 'Wine when the sale of such beverages is legalized were ordered placed
File for future consideration :

Claims against the City for the month of I:iarch 1933, were ordered paid subject to
e approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
.B.Berkemeyer.
Application of Edwin Van Sant and Eugene Ilaybury for permit to place a lunch stand
south south side of Marsh Street between.Osos street and Santa :osa Street granted on moti
L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer with the provision that the structure be removed at
the pleasure of the Council.
Petition of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to do certain
work on Story Street, and on High Street near the junction of Walker Street, as set out in
petition on file, was continued to the next meeting, of the Council.
Petition of T.F.Weaver et.al. requesting the Council to condemn a building at 1416
Palm Street was laid over for one week.
:.:attar of unpaid licenses for January quarter 1933 continued.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by He.--'-.Cox the meeting adjourned to Thursday,
April 6th 1933, at 7:30 P. ?:�., for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the General
and consolidated Charter Amendment election held on the 3rd day of April 1933, and to c
such other business as might come before it.
