The following applications for permit to build were granted on Tgotion of

Geo. H. Wilson - Addn to garage lots 5 6 Block 163 Murray & Church Cost 25,00
J.G.Mlc ilvaney - Service Station part of Block 23 Cost 700.00
application of G..H.ailson for permit to recess curb of sidewalk for driveway at
878 Islay street referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for report.
The application of J.G. he Rlvaney for permit to install 2 - 1Q;000,: ::gallon;=2snd
1 - 1,000 gallon gasoline storage tanks. in Block 23 - corner of Higuera and Santa Rosa Street;
and the application of J.L. Anderson for permit to install a Canvass Idarquee at 955 y onterey
Street ( Anderson hotel ) were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for
report to the Council.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the report of the City Clerk for
the month of October 1933 was received and ordered filed.
Claim of the City Tax Collector in the amount of $ 221.78 , same being first
installment of tax due from the City of San Luis Obispo for the year 1933 - lj34 for the
improvement of Palm Street , Lower Higuera Street and Broad Street, was ordered paid from
Interest Fund , on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.3erkemeyer.
In re distribution of surplus food to needy families: Com :rissioner of Public
Works to assist so far as practicable.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the following applications for
permit to hang signs were granted with the provision that said signs be hung in accordance
with Ordinance :
Cline's Electric Sho - ideon Sign Wooden Shoe Cafe 1035 Chorro Street
Joe R9'rfPes - Barber Pole 1026 Morro Street
Mrs. M-1.1.3arnette - Board Sign 866 Harsh Street
Application of the Valley Electric Company for permit to hang a Seaside Triangle
Sign at Berkeraeyer Garage laid over to the next meeting of the Cowicil.
