On motion of L.J.Defosset .seconded by .J.B.Barkameyer the application of
Howard Williamson for license for Bakery at 895 Higuera Street, was granted.
Communication from C.L,Weils, Veterinary 1Jaat Inspector in re meat inspectio
read. Matter discussed. City Attorney directed to furnish the Council with draft
of Ordinance on subject.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell the meeting adjourned to
Monday, Lay 28th 1934 at 7 :30 P.M.

City Council met in adjourned session - Vice president of the Council
L.J.Defosset presiding.
Present - J.B,Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
Absent - ;.iayor y.F.Sinsheimer.
The application of V- L.Porter for permit to raze buildings , partially destroys
by fire, on parts of lots 16 -17 and 18 Block 183 Ingleside Tract, was granted on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howello
Application of Cornelio del$ Pena for licenses for Billiards and Pool and
Cigars Sideline at 861 Palm Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safe
for report to the Council.
Application:rof Cush Decorating Company for permit to place decorations on business
houses in the City for the period extending from June lst to June 10th inclusive, was granted
on :notion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
The petition of E.A.MoRae for permit to hang ° Fiesta " sign across Monterey
Street from :fission Garage to Blackstone Hotel, said sign to hang from June End to
June 10th inclusive, was granted on motion duly seconded and carried.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of April 1934 was received and ordere
placed on file on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
J.H.Miller appeared and requested the Council to increase the personnel of the
Fire Department, and also provide additional equipment for the better protection of the City.
The petition of Rev. F -H -Avery for permi�o install Auto Club markers at
Higuera and Dipomo Streets directing location of St itephens Church, was granted with the
provision that said markers be placed on poles already installed at location named, and,
that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer.
Application of Rudolph's Electric Shop for permit to erect a Neon Chevron Sign
or Standard Oil Company at Service Station corner marsh and Higuera Street, granted on
motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Unfinished matters were continued to the nest meeting.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the meeting adjourned.
