City Hall, Monday, June 11th 1934 - 7;30 P.M,
City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leery, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : L.J.Defosset
The following applications•for licenses were referred to the Commissioner of
Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council ;
H.T.Hedlund - Restaurant, Cigars Sideline, and Dance Hall'at 1085 Higuera Street.
John W.Su ivan - Soft Drinks, and Cigars Sideline at 1068 Iaill Street.
The petition of H.W,Rudolph for permit to erect a Neon Sign at Rudolph's
Electric, at 717 Higuera Street referred to the Co.xaisaioner of Public Health and Safety
for report to the Council on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
In..a ~icommunication Z,M,Lyda ,District Ranger for Forest Service, Santa Barbara
National Forest, requested an appropriation of $ 100,00 to be used in part payment of
patrolman's salary. Matter to be taken -up at the next meeting.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the Official Bond of
Richard McB.F.Harris as Police Judge was approved and accented.
Petition of Rev. John Harnett for permti.to install direction signs for Old
Mission at N,E. corner-of Higuera and Broad Streets, at Monterey Street opposite
intersection of Broad Street, and at junction of Monterey and palm Streets, granted on
motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeger seconded by R.P.Howell the following licenses were
ordered cancelled ;

The matter of the license of Rockwell Sign Company was laid over., and that of the
fiehi Bottling Company, referred to.the City Attorney, - Action on other.unpaid licenses
for April quarter was continued,
