On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary applications of Midland
Counties.Fublic Service Corporation No. 222, 223, 224 and 226 for certain work, as
particularly described in said applications on file, were granted.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer. seconded by Joseph Leary the meeting adjourned to
Friday, April 5th 1935 at 7 :30 P.M..for the purpose of canvassing City Election returns.
Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
Noes : None.
Absent: Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer,

City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell. Joseph Leary, L.F,Sinsheimer,
Absent : None.
In accordance with the provisions of Charter regulation, the Council acting
as a canvassing board, now proceeded to canvass returns of the General Municipal Election
held on :Jonday, April let 19359 Tabulation following shows result of vote cast at
such Election and as canvassed by the City council. The number of votes cast at such
election being 2942 within the City of San Luis Obispo, and 318 in the consolidated
precincts outside the City . voting on Schbol Directors only.

Due to the fact that it was impossible to count and canvass the absentee vote
the matter of completing the canvass was continued to Monday. April 8th 19359 at 7 :30 P.M.,
on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosset.
Re: compensation of Election Officers for the General Idunicipal Election of
April let 1935 : It was moved by R.P.Howell, seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer and carried,
that said election officers serving within the City of San Luis Obispo be compensated in
the amount of $ 8.00 each for their services that Election Officers serving in the
special precincts outside the City of San Luis Obispo be allowed $ 6.00 each for their services.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell and carried, rental for the
seven precinct polling places within the City of San Luis Obispo was fixed at $ 8.00 each;
Rental for precinct polling places outside the City of San Luis Obispo was fixed at $6.00 each.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the meeting adjourned to
11onday, April 8th 1935, at 7 :30 P.T;i.
