Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary. Absent : Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The minutes of June 17th and 24th were read and approved as read. Application of Louis D.Isola for permit to build a Chicken Eouse on part of lots 5 and 6 Block 16 , at a Cost of $ 25.00 Joseph Leary. granted on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Application of B. Hemen for permit to make addition to Lunch Room, part of lots 5 and 6 Block 99 referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for report to the Council. The following applieationa for licenses were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report: R.E. Pdc Iiianus Restaurant 532 Higuera Street Charlie D. Bush Restaurant 666 Higuera Street Merchandising Bond of Philip C. Dubin with H.J.Dubin as Surety was approved nd the Surety accepted, on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. Tiie'report of the City Clerk for the month of May and of the City collector for month of June 1935 were received and ordered placed on file. Petition of certain Merchants for permit to hold a Public Street Dances on turday evening June 29th granted on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. Communication from San Luis Obispo Townsend Club ordered placed on file. Communication from Wallace Phipps General Agency re status of City of San Luis bispo under Policy # P.A. 90.71 relative to liability on non -owned cars used by City mployees ordered filed with Policy. Claims against the City for the month of June were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the mayor, on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. 1 1 1 1
