Present : J.3.berke;4eyer, L.J.Lefosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary. Absent : Iiiayor i,.F.Sinsheimer. The minutes of January 6th and 13th were read and approved as read. The following application, .. for permit to build was granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by H.P.Howell,, with the provision that plans and specifications Blue Prints, etc., be filed and that application be approved by the building inspector prior to the beginning of actual construction on said building: Western Condensing Co - Condensing Pl::nt ( !Milk Products ) Lots 7 -8 -13 r: 14 Mock 2 Arlington Addn Cost 4,000.00 The Merchandising Bond of A. Gamboni with I Giumini as Surety, was approved ' and the Surety accepted on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, Petition of Rundle's Inc. for permit to erect a =ieon sign for Alice Sellsrs,- Restaurant at 532 Higuera Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council: Petition of C.A.';iaino for permit to erect 150 feet of atone Udall on east propert line of lot 3 Block 42, Johnson Street between `.ill Street and Palm Street, also that curb grade be established, was granted on favorable report of J.B.Barkemeyer seconded by R.I.Howell, subject to establishment of Street grade , and that construction be done under supervision of the City E'ngineur. The report of the Police Judge for the month of December 1935, and the reports f the Pound master for the months of November and December 1935 were received and ordered laced on file. ' Re : J.C.Ragedale merchandising Bond, dated July 2nd 1935 ; with Hazel C. Neilse as Surety It was moved by 'R.P.Howell, seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer and carried that he surety on said Bond be released from further obligation and the Bond be cancelled. On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer and carried, the sum of $ 25. was contributed to the Salvation Army, for the month of February, for the relief of transients. Warrant to be drawn February lst., and the full sum to be spent locally.. The following applications for licenses were granted : Wd.B.Moses Lodging House 1011 slorra Street ',,,irs. Alice Sellars Restaurant ) Cigars Sideline) 532 Higuera Street Application of ,iidwey Hotel, by L.D.Handschy, for permit to hang a galvanized Ir sign on west wall of 1rlidway Hotel building; 993 Higuera Street, granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell with the provision that said sign hang according to provisions. of Ordinance, and that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. On unfavorable report-of-the Commissioner of Public Health and safety the application of Chester Wygal for license--for Pool Tables at 162 Higuera Street was denied.
