The reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the month of December
1935, and the report of the City Collector for the month of January 1936, were received
and ordered placed on file.
The matter of renewal of Policy with the State Compensation Insurance Fund was
t referred to the Commissioner of Finance with power to act, on motion of J.B- Berkemeyer
seconded by L.J.Defosset.
Petition of American Brotherhood for the Blind to hold a " Flower Sale " in the
City of San Luis Obispo referred to the Co:arnissioner of Public Health and Safety.
Claims against the City for the month, of January 1936 were ordered paid, on
otion of n.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, subject to the approval of the heads of
the respective departments and the i:ayor.
1. Lester, representing local Post of Veterans of Foreign gars, addressed the
Council relative to license fee for Boxing and 10restling. Natter discussed, and the
City Attorney was instructed to draft an amendment to Ordinance.
Application of Rundle's Inc. for permit to erect a Jeon Sign at Alice Sellars
' Restaurant, 532 Higuera °treet granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P•Eowell.
Yatter of proposed amendment to License Ordinance referred to the Commissioner.
Hof Finance for study and report.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph teary a :.esolution relative to
approving an agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and midland Counties Public
1 Service Corporation pertaining to electric street lights and directing the execution of
Iuch agreement was introduced, and the motion was lost by the following vote:
Ayes .P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
