City Council met in regular session - Vice President of the Council L.J.Defosset
presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
Absent : I,ayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of March 2nd and 9th were read and approved as read.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
J.B:Berke,neyer seconded by Joseph Teary ;
nose Larie Cobb - Remodel present building Block 40 Cost a 700.00
Hose Wells - Addn & general Repairs pt lot 1 Block 27 Cost 200.00

The Merchandising bonds of A.C.Bolton and John Diodati with F.J.3arcellos as
and of Dean Van P�Iaren with United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co as wurety were
resented, and on motion of ??.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer it was ordered that the
ties be accepted and the Bonds approved.
Application of Foster and Kleiser. Company for permit to extend Sign Board in B1
3, south side of Monterey Street between ' -iorro Street and Chorro Street, was referred to
he Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council.
The following applications for licenses were referred to the Commissioner of

Petition of Smee's Plumbing and heating for permit to break cement sidewalk and
t in front of Sauer building , 785 Higuera Street, for the purpose of replacing sewer
s cancelled on motion -of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
Petitions of i?undle's Inc., for permit to hang Neon Signs for I:.Y,`.Fitzgerald at
852 Higuera Street , and, for D- E- Molinari 714 Higuera street, were referred to the Com-
missioner of Public Health and :Safety for report.
The following petitions for transfer of licenses were granted on motion duly
seconded and carried -
Rose ' - :arie Cobb - iierchandise and Cigars Sideline, 100 Santa 'osa Street transferred to
Mrs. Edna T'irby.
Sfldney J Cowie - I,Ierchandise, 1208 Peach Street transferred to hose Irlarie Cobb.
The report of the Police Judge for the month ending Febru&ry 29th 1936, received
and ordered placed on file on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary.
Applicritions for the. regular quarterly licenses were referred to the Commissioner
of Public health and Safety for investigation and report.
Communication from California Beaches Association giving Liotice of, and requesting
that the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo be represented at a conference on the aubjeet
of beach erosion, to be held Jaturday, March 28th 1936, at La Jolla, was ordered placed
on file.
?Natter of renewal of membership in the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference
for the calendar year ending Dec 31, 1936, referred to the Commissioner of Finance with:
power to act.
