City council met in regular session - !Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.

Absent : None.
The minutes of March 16th and 23rd were read and approved as read.

favorable report and-motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
Application of Cline's Electric Shop for permit to hang a Neon Sign for Club Cafe
at 856 I,Ionterey Street referred to the Co:a.:iissioner of Public health and Safety for report.
In a communication Grace E. Barneberg petitioned the Council to take over a certain
Street Light, on Dana Street at the north corner of the Barneberg property. Isistter referred
to the Commissioner of Public Works for report.
In a communication Kenneth Beck, City r,ngineer, advised the Council, for public
information, that due to the construction of the new Court House, it had become necessary
to remove the bolt' bench mark set in a stone pillar about four feet from the ground on the
west side of the entrance to the old Court house and used as the City of San Luis ebispo'.s
Datum Plane. That he had re- established the same elevation on top of the head of a 5/8
inch iron bolt set In the wall about 1-k feet above the ground at the most Southerly corner
,
of the first unit of the new Court House. On motion duly seconded and carried the
communication was ordered placed.on file.
The reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the month of February,

Claims against the City for the month of liarch were ordered paid subject to the
pproval of the heads of the respective departments and the - dayor, on notion of R.P..aowell

Re : Deed from lawrence H. and Lucille Poulsen for certain right -of -way for'Sewer
North Broad Street , together with Hesolution for the acceptance of same, was continued
o the next meeting.
