and adopt a new Ordinance prohibiting the opening of stores for business on any Sunday;
or, on any State and National Holiday. Llatter discussed with local merchants present,
and on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer , matter taken under advisement.
City Attorney to draft Ordinance for consideration by the council.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were ordered granted.
Latter of re routing State Highway through City, continued.
Application of Foster and Lleiser Company for permit to place sign board in
Block 13, south side of ` lonterey street between Chorro Street and T.,orro Street granted,
' on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
The following applications for licenses were granted on motion duly seconded
and carried :

A.C.Boltou & John Diodati Cigars oideline 875 Monterey Stree
W,E.Smith Billiards and Pool 1006 R•R.Avenue
Abraham Herrera Lunch Counter 866 Palm Street
Refugio Lopez Soft Drinks 162 Higuera Street
Refugio Lopez Cigars Sideline 162 Higuera Street
Petition of Rundle's Inc. for permit to erect a Neon Sign for LIeW,Fitzgerald
at 852 Higuers Street, also, for D.H.Molinari at 714 Higuera Street were granted on motion
ddly seconded and carried, with the provision that said signs be erected in accordance with
provisions of Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Ingineer.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the meeting adjourned to
