Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : R one. The minutes of April '6th and 13th were read and approved -as read. On motion of J.B.Berke ;aeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following applications for permit to build were granted Ida O'Brien - Garage and remodel house lots 7 & 8 Block 110 Cost 600.00 Lee J. Taylor - Garage lot 10 Block 122 Murray and 6hurch Addn cost 150.00 Bet. Esther Mathews - Poultry House Lot 4 Block 3 Southside Addn cost 60.00 Application of R.H.Gilmore for permit to remove a building from Lot 7 Block 87 ssion Vineyard Tract to Lot 17 Block 1 of Caudill Tract referred to the Commissioner of lie Works for investigation and report. The applications,odf Anita:.::Hathway and i,:rs Ed iodrigues for permit to connect wi ewer on the westerly side of aathway Avenue near T:[urray Street , and on Fig Street between os street and Santa _:osa :',treat respectively, were referred to the Commissioner of Public orks for investigation and report. The report of the City Clerk for the month of iciarch received and ordered filed. Application of Davis & Son, by J.I.Duvis , for registration as Class " E , ontractor, together with Surety 3ond in the amount of $ 500.00 and license fee of w 15.00 was received and on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset it was ordered that the surety be accepted and license issued. Applications of Veteran's of Foreign Mars for licenses for Boxing and ivrestling at ';linter Garden, dated ;:arch 19th, 23rd, 30th and April 2d and 6th were presented for second reading, and it was ordered that the said applications be filed with those of like nature, to be considered at some future date. On favorable report and ;notion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer it was ordered that the application of !,._eller for license for restaurant at 856 I,ionterey Street be granted. application of Cline's Electric ;hop for permit to hang a i;eon ign for Club safe at 856 ',Ionterey. Street, granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell with the rovision that the said sign hang according to Ordinance and that work be done under the upervision of the pity Engineer. On favorable report and motion of J.B.3erkemeyer seconded by i.1-Howell Santa I3ar s company was granted permit to replace old lE " main with 4" main on Johnson and Essex treet between Pismo and E-11a Street. over. Communication from Grace E. Barneberg re certain Street Light on Dana Street laid Petition from !.iaisterial Union re Sunday closing Ordinance affecting Grocery Store and meat iLarkets received and ordered filed with other petitions of same nature. 11 1 1
