City Hall, Monday, May 25th 1936 - 7 :30 P.Iri.
City Council met in adjourned session.
In the absence of mayor L.F.Sinsheimer and, ',rice President of the Council
L.J.iDefosset, Joseph B. Berkemeyer, Commissioner of Public Works was duly and regularly
chosen to preside as chairman of the meeting .
Present Joseph B. Berkeweyer, i;.P.Huwell, Joseph Leary.
Absent : L•iayor L.F.Sinsheimer, L.J.Defosset.
On motion of R,P.aowell secorded by Joseph Teary the following applications
for permit to build were granted :

Application of Texaco Station for permit to repair roof on Service Station in

Block 8 , north east corner of _Nipomo and Higuera street, held over for report.
Applications of Veteran's of Foreign Wars dated, i•:iay 19th.and:.26th .for license
for Boxing and Wrestling at Punter Garden. on above named dates were referred to the
of Public Health -and Safety for investigation and report as was also, the

application of J.L.Donaldson for per:ait to hang a wooden sign at 993 niguera Street.
:report of the City Clerk for the month of April 1956 received and ordered
placed on file on motion duly seconded and carried.
On motion of R.P- Ho'rrell seconded by Joseph Leary the petition of Christine B.
Loomis for permit to connect with sewer on High Street between Walker Street and Higuera
Street was granted.
All matters pending were contiiiued to the next meeting of the Council.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary the meeting adjourned.

Lierchandising Bond of Iars Zealand Simmons, with B Hemen as Surety, was approved
and the Surety accepted on motion of Z-.P.Howell seconded by J.3.Berkemeyer.
