Present : J.3.Jerkemeyer, L.J.Defosset. R.P•Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : Vone . The minutes of July 20th and 27th were read and approved as read. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following applications for permit to build were granted Fannie Sandercock - Addition to Garage Lot 2 Block 58 Cost 1,000.00 Edw.. Lee Henderson - Addition of room Lot 21 Beebee & Phillips Addn Cost 50.00 Norman M. McKinnon - Laundry Boom Lot 18 Breck Tract Cost 45.00 Application of Franco F. Chavis for permit to install a Bar in building at 887 Palm Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety -for report. Application of Francis J. Rhyne for permit to raze a barn on Lot 4 Block 7 eills Addition granted on motion duly seconded and carried. Petition of P.H.Lauritson for transfer of license for ;:ierchandise Groceries at Figgly niggly Store, 727 -.arsh Street to H.F._,dcGrew and _,i.J.Ballesteros , granted on motion of J.B.Berke:aeyer seconded by _;.P.Howell. The following applications for permit to hang signs were referred to the Com- ssioner of Public health and Safety for --sport : Rundle's Iiic. - -eon sign at :.'idway Hiutel 997 higuera $trett. . V.1hite - Wooden sign i-at 953 Chorro Street The reports of the City Collector and the Police Judge for the month of July ere received and ordered placed on file. Petition of the Union Oil Company of California for permit to excavate to repair eak in 8" oil pipe line at north east c.;rner of Fismo and Santa Rosa Streets granted on avorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by F;.P.Howell. Communication of C.T.Farrar , 1370 Pismo Street relative to street light at the orth end of Pismo Street referred to the Commissioner of Public laorks for investigation and port. Claims against the City for the ::ionth of July were ordered paid, on motion of .F.Howell seconded by Joseph -Leary, subject to the approval of the heads of the respective epartments and the ..iayor. 0 The following matters pending were continued to the next meeting Applications of Franco F.
