Present : J.3.3erkemeyer, L.J.3efosset, R.P. Howell, Joseph Leary. Absent : b:iayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The following applications for percnit to build were granted on motion .of . Silvia - Residence & Garage pt lots 1 & 2 Blk 2 Fixiline Tr Cost 3,000.00 C.I,i.Jacobson - Studio ( _,adio Station H.U.F.0 ) Anholm Property Cost 1,750:00 J.F. 1.1c1leil - Addn Room pt lots 1 -2 &3 Block 90 Cost 100.00 H.G.(Gus) Hansen- Remodel Bldg part Block 114 Reeds Addn Cost 700.00 Application of H.G (Gus) Hansen for permit to :;cove a building from part of lot 1 Block 114 Reeds addition, facing on Higuera :street to a part of lots 1 and 5 of the same block facing on Walker Street was granted on motion duly seconded and carried. The petition of H.G -(Gus) Hansen for the setting of curb grade on the west side of ;Walker Street between Pismo Street and Higuera Street referred to the City .-Engineer for report. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.F.Howell, Southern Pacific l.iilling Company was granted temporary permit for the construction of a foundation only for a Burner proposed to be constructed on lot 14 Block 187 A Ingleside Tract. :application on file for construction of the said Burner to be accompanied by specifications and taken up at the next meeting of the Council. Application of J. Featherstone for license for Restaurant at 1024 !,iorro Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and bafety for investigation and report. The reports of the City Clerk, City Treasurer and Police Judge for the month of April were received and ordered placed on file. Petition of Parent Teacher Association requesting that pedestrian yearning signs be placed at certain street intersections in the vicinity of Hawthorne Sc,00l, referred to the Commissioner of Public wealth and b'afety for investigation and report to the Council. .application of Smee's Plumbing and Beating for permit to cut pavement in 1400 block on harsh Street laid over. On motion of J.B.Berkeneyer seconded by _.P- Howell the City Attorney was requested directed to write Smee's Plumbing and Heating Co ( John E. 5mee ), calling attention to provisions of Ordinance No. 85 (New Series) and penalties imposed thereby, re: digging under :oncrete paved streats. unfinished matters continued tb the next meeting of the Council.
