Application of A.E. Nernof for permit to hang a painted metal sign,:with wood frame at 1027 Chorro Street denied on motion duly seconded and carried - said proposed sign beina, in violation of the provisions of Ordinance. Petition of Robert Danneber`g for license for penny vending machines at 1131 Broad Street continued for further investigation and report by Commissioner of Public: lath and Safety. Re : extension of sewer on San dercock Street between Beebee Street and Cypress Street : matter discussed. Clerk to look up data in connection with the acceptance of said Street. Re : certain verbal applications for return of filing fees for building permits vhen building not constructed : Natter discussed. It was moved by R.P. Howell'seconded by .B. Berkemeyer that the said verbal applications for the return of such fees be rejected* motion carried. On motion of J.B. Berkemeyer seconded by R.P. Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary the petition of G. Stocklausen for permit to remove two Locust Trees at 512 Dana Street was granted. Applications of Midland Counties Public Service Corporation it 247 for work on South side of Marsh Street between Johnson Avenue and Ida Street (i.e. remove a tree, and move an existing pole 4 ft west of present location, at 1405 Idarsh Street) granted on motion of J.B. Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary. The following applications for permit to coxuiect with sewer were granted on motion of J.B. Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary with the provision that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer : Frank W. Funk - Mill Street between. Park Street and Grove Street: Mrs. Dora Slaucke - Broad Street between Marsh Street and Pacific Street. The following applications for permit to hang signs were granted on motion of J.B. Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary with the provision that work be done in accordance with the provisions'of Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Engineer. ; Cline's Electric Shop - Double face Neon Sign at O'Reilly Service Station Higuera & Osos St Rundle's, Inc. - Double face Neon Sign reading "Chitwood Bootery" at 766 Higuera St. Rundle'_ s, Inc. - Neon Sign reading "Cafe" at 1240 Monterey Street. Application of Addison Chong for permit to lay and construct 541 feet of full width sidewalk on the west side of Chorro Street between palm Street and Mill Street granted, on motion duly seconded and carried, with the provision that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer: Re: application of Standard Motor Sales, by O'Reilly, for permit to build Wash Rack, Lot 2 Block 22, proposing to drain waste water therefrom into Creek - Matter discussed. It was moved by J.B. Berkemeyer seconded;by Joseph Leary that the application be denied without prejudice to new application being filed. Motion carried. Application of H.J. Dubin for permit to move a building from Lot 17 Nippon Tract to Lot 15 Block 2 Arlington Addition granted on motion of J.B. Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary. Unfinished matters continued.
