City Council met in regular session - ?:ayor L.I'.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.F.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.F.FTo!well, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.

The follo. ^ ;ing application for permit to build 1rras granted
Leslie R. Dana - Double Garage Lot 9 Block 1 Southside Addition Cost 49-0.00
The following applications for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted
on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell, work to be done under the supervision
of the City Engineer;
Rudolph ?_rshall - To convert present 5 ft park sidewalk into full width side =walk : 70 ft
on the west'side of Carmel Street between Pacific Street and Pismo Stre t,
and 60 ft on the north side of Pismo Street between Carmel Street and
Archer Street.
Frank Rodman - 100 ft of curbing on the south side of Buchon Street between �Tipomo
Street and Beach Street.
On motion duly seconded and carried the following applications for permit to
connect with the City ,ewer were referred to the Commissioner of Public ';forks for investig
tion and report to the Council
R.M.Bernard - George Street between Osos Street and Santa Rosa Street
Herbert F. 1!cBratney Chorro Street between DQission Street and ';,rest Street.
Minnie F. IYvers - ".1orro Street between Leff Street and Church Street.
The reports of the City Collector, Police Judge and Found master for the month
of April were received and ordered placed on file.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosset the request of Reverend
John Harnett et.al. for permit to decorate the City for Fiesta de las Flores, ?lay 20,21,22d
was granted .
The petition of R.S.Shatford for extension of water service line for a distance
Of 235 ft on ` proposed extension of Fixlini Street through his property , was received
and referred to the Commissioner of Public , ?'orks for investigation and report to Council.
Claims against the City for the month of April 1938 were ordered paid, on motion
of R.P.Fowell seconded by L.J.Defosset, subject to the approval of the heads of the
respective departments and the Mayor.
The claim of Harry F. Haskins, Sheriff of the County of :man Luis Obispo, in the
amount of $ 15.00 , being for Teletype Service from ?,:arch 1st to 31st 1938 as per agreement
was orderedpaid on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell. Clerk authorized to
draw 'warrant. Joseph Leary voting " No ".
The claim of Harry F. Haskins, Sheriff of the County of San Luis Obispo, in the
Amount of $ 20.75 , being for 83 meals ei .25 per meal furnished prisoners committed to
San Luis Obispo County Jail by Police Judge for the months of February and ",larch -1938 was
ordered denied on motion of Joseph Leary seconded by R.P.Hovrell.
Claim of A.D.�Mallace in the amount of $ 140.00, being for services as Radio
Inspector for the month of April 1938, ordered paid on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by
T.B.Berkemeyer. It was further ordered that the services of ?;.r Wallace continue for
the month of r ?ay.
