Defosset ,..R.P.Ho.we11,.;.Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent None. The minutes of January 3rd and 9th were read and approved as read. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following applications for permit to build were granted C.E.Hackett & G.H.Shadinger - 19 Camp Cottages - Block 163 Harford Addn Cost 59000.00 Harley Gill - Residence & Garage pt lot 4 Block 55 Cost 2,000.00 L.A.Gragg - Concrete foundation under residence lot 2 Blk 54 Cost 150.00 M:Lopez - To move house from pt lot " D " B1k.19 Central Addn to part of lot 6 of the same Block On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Ho�Ve�ll it was ordered that the follow application for permit to build.be granted, if and when, the building fee is paid. The emotion carried: John F. Fitzpatrick°- Repair building damaged by fire - part lot 3 Block 99 Mission vine Tract at a Cost of $ 11500.00 It was moved by J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell and carried that the lapplication of John M. Wallis for permit to repair a residence damaged by fire on lot 15 JBlock 186 Ingleside Tract at a Cost of $ 500.00 be granted, if and when, the proper fee for Ithe building permit is paid. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following application for permit to build was granted subject to the approval of the Building Inspector, also that the Building Inspector report his findings to the Council: J.G.& Ida M. Jones " -- Sales Room lots 15 & 16 Block 7 Cost $ 69750.00 On motion duly - seconded and. carried the application-of L.A.Gragg for permit to lay 75 ft of full width sidewalk, curbing and gutter on'the south side of Pismo-Street between Beach Street and Carmel Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report. Applications of San Luis Obispo City. Schools ( by E.D.Dunning ) for permit to do certain sidewalk work, as set out in applications on file, at Hawthorne School, Fremont School, Kindergarten School,Emerson School, Junion High School, and.Senior High School were referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report to the Council. The petition of J.M.Sorenson for curb grade on Upham Street between Johnson St and Fialini Street received, and it was ordered that the City Engineer be requested and directed to furnish said grade. The report of the City Clerk for the month of December 1938 received and ordered placed on file. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by T.B.Berkemeyer the petition.o.f Dr H.Clyde 3raham for permit to hang a sheet metal sign with wood frame at 740 Pacific Street granted mith the provision that said sign hang according to provisions of Otdinance and that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. Application of Eric Wickenden for permit to hang a Neon Sign at 1032 Chorro Street, rlickenden Building, granted, on motion duly seconded and carried, as was also, the petition.of Rundle's Inc., for permit to hang a Neon Sign at Sno- ?9hite Creamery, at 888 Monterey Street. Application of David E. Parks for permit to lay 12 ft of full width sidewalk on the west side of Morro Street between Islay Street and Leff Street granted , on motion duly seconded and carried, work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. 91
