Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, it was ordered that the membership of the City of San Luis Obispo in the Channel Counties Regional League for the year beginning April 1st, 1939 be renewed. Clerk authorized to draw a warrant in the amount of $7.50 for dues. Joseph Leary voted "No ". The application of Vernon Porter requesting that a fire hydrant be placed on the corner of Murray Ave. and Kentucky Street was denied on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Joseph Leary without prejudice to the petitioner. The matter of the petition of J. H. Kirk for water servio®line on Caudill Street was continued. Re: Closing of a portion of Victoria Street and a portion of Frederick Street: No written or verbal protests received, and Ordinance No. 199 (New Series) - An Ordinance ordering the closing up and abandonment of those certain-portions of Frederick Street and Victoria Street in the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as described in said Ordinance, was introduced and passed to print on motion of R. Resolution No. 435 ( New Series) A Resolution approving report and fixing time and place of hearing on improvement of Morro Street as August 14th; 1939 at 7 :30 P. M. was adopted and passed on motion of Ralph C.'Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell by the following vote: Ayes: W.H.Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, Fred C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent: None Resolution No. 436 (New aeries) - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo approving Memorandum of Agreement for the expenditure of 1/4¢ gas tax allocated for State highways was adopted and passed on motion of R.
