It was moved by Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by 1q. H. Brazil that the final I— report on Higuera Street, Marsh Street and Santa Rosa Street (Highway No. 101) ( State Route No. 2), be accepted. Motion carried. It was moved by R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil that the final report of the City Engineer on the improvement of Islay Street and a portion of Toro Street be accepted. Motion carried. It was moved by R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil that the final report of the City Engineer on the improvement of MORRO Street, from Santa Barbara Ave. to Marsh Street be accepted. Motion carried. Re: Parking on Court Street between Monterey and Higuera Streets: Matter discussed. Commissioner of Public Health and Safety to report further at the next meeting. On motion of Ralph C. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil: L. V. & A. J. Richardson - Res. and Gar. pt of Lot 1 & 2, Blk 30 Escuela Alta Subdivision, Cost $3600.00 J. B. V. Butler - Res. and Gar. parts of Lot 2 & 32 Blk 31 7scuela Alta Subdivision, Cost ., 9850.00 P. J. Angeloni - Remodel store front, Pt lot 19 Blk 51 Cost 350.00 The application of San Luis Obispo City Schools.by E. D. Dunning for permit to construct a school maintenance shop on Lot 2, Block 32 at a cost of $1500.00 was re- ferred, on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil to.the Commissioner of Public Wo &,s for investigation and report. The following app ;ications for licenses were referred, on motion of R. P. Howell seconded by W. H. The application of San Joaquin lower Division, lacific Gas and Electric Co. No.`261 for work on Chorro Street between Lincoln Ave. and Murray Ave., more particularly set out in application onfile, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works, with power to act, onmotion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil. Communication from Chris No Jespersen ordered filed. The reports of the City Collector, Police Judge and the Pound Master for the month of November were received and ordered filed on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil. The claim of John Fesler in the amount of $7577.28, the said amo,,ult being for the improvement of Highway No. 101, State Route No. 2; HIGUERA STREET; from South City Limits to Marsh Street; MARSH STREET;- from Osos Street to Santa Rosa Street; SANTA ROSH STREET; from Higuera Street to Monterey Street, in accordanc-1 with bid dated September 11, 1939 was ordered.paid on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W.H. Brazil. Claims aginst the City for the month of November were ordered paid on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by Joseph Leary,,.subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Mayor. Certain communications re: Park Street were ordered placed on file. Communication from George W..Kilbern relative to license for tent shows wa-s received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell the matter was re- ferred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety and the City Attorney for inves- tig -tion and report on fees for such license. The Merchandising Bond of Myrtle W. Lynch with H. J. Dubin as surety, was ordered cancelled and the surety relieved of further obligation under said bond, on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by W. H. Brazil. The petition of J. C. Ragsdale for transfer of licenses for Mdse. ( Confectione Lunch, Soft Drinks) and Cigars Sideline at 1638 Osos Street to J. G. Moore was granted on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. Resolution of Intention No. 476 (New Series) - A Resolution of Intention to close up and abandon a portion of Park Street ( more particularly described in said Resolution) in the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, was passed and adopted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil by the following vote: Ayes: :1I.H.Brazil, R. P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, Fred C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent: None On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil, the City Attorney was requested and directed to draw a Resolution accepting a deed from C. M. Long and Ethel E. Long for that part of Block "Q" in Phillips Addition, at the intersection of Monterey Street, Palm Street and Grand Ave., more particularly described in said deed.. The matter of the petition of H. J. Dubin for grades on Hathway Ave. laid over. The matter of the petition for annexation of the Caudill Tract and part of Imperial Addition to the City of San Luis Obis :o was continued for report from the City Attorney. 19 I
